Luwian Hieroglyphs in Hattusa (the capital of the [Hittite](https://www.worldhistory.org/hittite/) [Empire](https://www.worldhistory.org/empire/)) which adorned a chamber perhaps representing a symbolic entrance to the Underworld. The chamber was commissioned by [Suppiluliuma](https://www.worldhistory.org/Suppiluliuma_I/) II (1207–1178 BCE), the last of the famous Great Kings of Hattusa. The Luwian hieroglyphs describe the invasions and successes of King Suppiluliuma II, mentioning that with the help of the gods, the King invaded several lands, including that of Tarhuntassa.
