## Image Caption

An early Christian basilica in Agios Georgios ([Cyprus](https://www.worldhistory.org/cyprus/)) dating back to the 6th century CE. It is adorned with lovely [mosaic](https://www.worldhistory.org/Mosaic/) floors depicting animals and sea-creatures. Located near the village of Pegeia, it was the site of a late [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) and early [Byzantine](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Byzantine/) town and important harbour.
