The House of [Theseus](https://www.worldhistory.org/Theseus/) in the Paphos Archaeological Park in [Cyprus](https://www.worldhistory.org/cyprus/) had more than 100 rooms. This house is the largest residential structure on the island and one of the largest in the [Mediterranean](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/mediterranean/). It was the residence of the governor of Cyprus (proconsul).
