Terracotta figurine of the goddess on a large couch (cline), leaning on her left elbow. This was the typical position for dining at a banquet ([symposium](https://www.worldhistory.org/Symposium/)), which was derived from the [Greek](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/greek/) tradition and was adopted by the Romans. The hole in the upper surface of the right knee possibly was a place to insert a lamp. [Roman](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Roman/) period, mid-2nd century CE.
