## Image Caption

Al-Balu's stele is a Moabite document. This stele found in Al-Balu'a, north of Kark, in 1930 CE contains an illegible hieroglyphic inscription. There are three figures depicted on the stele, which may represent a king and two deities. It could be a commemorative stele for the coronation ceremony of a Moabite king. It dates back to 1309-1151 BCE, between the Late [Bronze Age](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Bronze_Age/) and [Iron Age](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Iron_Age/), which was a time of [Egyptian](https://www.worldhistory.org/disambiguation/Egyptian/) political and cultural domination.
