About the author
Gina M. Bright had no choice in writing her first novel, The Charon Club, or her first non-fiction book, Plague-Making and the AIDS Epidemic: A Story of Discrimination, years after working on an AIDS unit in New York City. The inhumane treatment of people living and dying with AIDS in the 1980s and 1990s must never be forgotten. Gina's short stories have appeared in Sundial Magazine, The Copperfield Review, and Zoomorphic and reflect her broader literary, historical, and ethical interests.
Bright holds a doctorate in medieval English literature and after 36 years continues to work as a registered nurse caring for oncology patients in Norfolk, Virginia while writing every day and again exploring the world with Mike, her husband of more than 20 years.
