Scientific and anthropological evidence for multiple Atlantean empires and the global catastrophes that destroyed them

• Reveals that there was not one but three Atlantises--the first in Antarctica, the second in South America, and the third in the Mediterranean

• Examines geological evidence of super-floods 15,000, 11,600, and 8,700 years ago

• Shows how these flood dates directly parallel the freezing of Antarctica, the migrations of Cro-Magnon men, and the destruction of Atlantis according to Plato

15,000 years ago the Earth’s axis tilted, shifting the geographic poles. Volcanoes erupted, the icecaps melted, and the seas rose dramatically. Antarctica was enveloped in ice, destroying the high civilization of prehistory: Atlantis. But before the survivors could reestablish what they had lost, catastrophe struck again--twice.

Uniting scientific findings with theories on the location of Atlantis, the authors reveal that there was not one but three Atlantises--the first in Antarctica, the second in South America, and the third in the Mediterranean. Examining paleoclimatology data, they show that Antarctica was temperate 15,000 years ago and home to the original Atlantis. They explore geological evidence of three worldwide super-floods 15,000, 11,600, and 8,700 years ago and show how these dates directly parallel the freezing of Antarctica, the arrival of Cro-Magnon man in Europe, and the destruction of Atlantis according to Plato. Uncovering the influence of the Atlanteans in Proto-Indo-European languages and in massive ancient monuments aligned with the stars, they show how the civilization founders in all early myths--the Pelasgians, Danaans, Viracocha, Aryans, and others--were part of the Atlantean diaspora and how this migration split into two major movements, one to Latin America and the other to Europe and Asia.

Following the Atlanteans from a warm Antarctica up to Peru, Mexico, and the Mediterranean, they reveal that Cro-Magnon men are the people of Atlantis and that we are just now returning to their advanced levels of science, technology, and spirituality.

Editorial Reviews

Review

“Diego Marin is a physicist who has spent many years in his quest for ‘Atlantis.’ His book is a well-researched and stimulating piece of detective work as well as a great read for all the devotees of this intriguing topic.” ― Robert Bauval, author of The Orion Mystery, Black Genesis, and Breaking the Mirror of Heaven

About the Author

Diego Marin, Ph.D., has a doctorate in theoretical physics and has extensively studied the comparative mythology, esoteric traditions, and history of the Near and Middle East. Ivan Minella is an archaeologist specializing in European protohistory, archaeometallurgy, and remote sensing. He has made excavations in Burkina Faso, Festos in Crete, and in Sardinia. Erik Schievenin is a geologist specializing in erosions and fracture lines whose research has led to a controversial re-dating of the Sphinx and several megalithic temples. The three authors are the founders of the Pangea Cultural Association based in Padua, Italy. The authors live in Italy.

The Three Ages of Atlantis: The Great Floods That Destroyed Civilization
By Diego Marin Ph.D.
ISBN-13: 978-1591431794 (Bear & Company-2013)

No matter what you believe, it’s an inescapable fact that ancient civilizations share much of their knowledge with a common highly advanced civilization. There’s a lot of theory in this book, however, considering the ‘fact’ that most of everything we have been and still are being taught in school is dead wrong, we would do well to open our minds and look at the facts anew. This is part of the unraveling of a great mystery, our human history. Reading this book helped me make some very important connections.

Some of this book was an interesting read. I'm pleased there is a book finally revealing a decent timeline of the Atlanteans (Pelasgians). The author covers from 13,000 BCE to recent historical time periods. I tend to believe this civilization started perhaps hundreds of thousands of years ago or longer. Also, I believe the theory that their cultured origin was in Lesser Antarctica. In my opinion, they had to relocate from Antarctica on a few occasions but returned until their final abandonment of the continent around 9,000 BCE. The author tells of the floods, etc. that would destroy their great lands but their brilliant culture survived and was dispersed into other continents. Their pyramids were built throughout the world and they were all very similar. That definitely isn't a coincidence.
One more thing that isn't in reference to the book. I have a strong desire to believe the Nazis of the 1930s-40s uncovered beyond top secret information on the very ancient civilization in their Antarctica base. A few unusual occurrences at Antarctica since then has made the bottom of the news that indicates there is a helluva a lot more going on there that isn't being communicated to the public.

It is very interesting. The author explains much of what we hear snippets of. Unfortunatly much of what we get is myth and much religious myth. The author tends to answer many questions one has of the existence of previous civilizations. It makes good sense. The more we discover the more we find the old authors ( Plato, Socrates etc.) seemed to have information we are now discovering. A good read!

This is without doubt one of the worst books I have ever read. "Pseudoscience" does not even begin to cover it. Much of the early part of the book appears to be lifted from R. & R. Flem-Ath's work on Atlantis, but the chapter that is really a study in misinformation and absurdity is the one on language. Having taught linguistics on the university level for a number of years, I was truly appalled by the incredible number of unspeakably stupid statements totally at variance with verifiable linguistic fact, not to mention those that reflect abysmal ignorance of the subject itself. It would take many paragraphs to specify and refute the utter nonsense presented by the authors, and neither I nor Amazon review readers would have the patience for such a critique. As for the rest of the book, it seems to be on a par with the chapter on language, although I cannot claim expertise in archeology. I have, however made a close study of the Ethiopic text of the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch), and I would recommend that those interested in reliable Enochic material consult the recent excellent Nickelsburg, Vanderkam, and Baltzer scholarly English translation and commentary (2 volumes) in the Hermeneia series (available from Amazon), or Dr. Nickelsburg's very fine abridgement of the Hermeneia edition, "1 Enoch: A New Translation" (also available from Amazon at a modest price).

I found the 1st half of this book (although it reiterated much of the info from Graham Hancock's books Underworld & Heaven's Mirror) to be much more interesting than the 2nd half, which centered heavily on religion. I disagree with a lot of what this author has to say, as I find many other authors to be both more credible & easier to read.

Having researched and written about the real story of human history for 40+ years myself (not the "myth" currently being taught in our schools), I thoroughly enjoyed the authors interesting premises in this book. It is an entertaining read if you possess an open mind. Regrettably, other than Plato's account, we have very little tangible evidence to support the Atlantis question. At the same time, from my personal research I have little doubt that Atlantis was not simply myth ... but the legend emerged from a sound basis in fact. While I don't agree with all of the conclusions in this book it does make major contributions and deserves a wider audience.
