Editorial Reviews

Review

"James Leo Garrett's interest in the Roman Catholic Church began early and continued throughout his long life. He studied its theology and practices carefully and patiently, and he wrote about them from the point of view of a faithful Baptist theologian. Readers of this volume will learn a great deal about Roman Catholics, about Baptists, and about their relationships with each other, and about several related matters."
--Fisher Humphreys, Samford University, emeritus

"The tenor and approach with which Garrett analyzes and critiques Catholicism is exemplary throughout: he applauds positive developments when warranted and never erects a straw man to tear down. Even as he points a warning finger at the Roman Catholic tradition, he turns that finger toward his own Baptist tradition and its weaknesses. Like all of Garrett's writings, these articles are must-read material!"
--Gregg R. Allison, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
