1891 CE: Sergei Rachmaninoff completes his First Piano Concerto.
 
1891 CE: Sergei Rachmaninoff completes his orchestral work The Rock.
 
1892 CE: Sergei Rachmaninoff wins the gold medal prize for composition at the Moscow Conservatory.
