Poems From the Heart
Yes, Leni is a poet, writing with such honesty and love. This little book is packed with thought provoking words, and is one I know I’ll return to often. I think there are many of us who could be poets if we allow ourselves to look deep enough, and to be brave enough. I enjoyed every page, but “Before I Go” gave me pause to look at my own life. Thank you, Leni, for being brave and sharing your words. Know that you have touched me. KM

I am devouring, I am savoring....I am so awed. The author has truly found her voice and expresses not only her heart but I believe the heart of many others who have yet to find their voices. The very first poem set the tone...and echoed so much of what I personally have felt about myself. When I read Time Between the Dashes I was transfixed, thinking of me and my mother. And then I read Sunflowers and thought she said everything I feel but could never say in quite that way. I will savor the author’s words and feel the deep meanings that resonate for me personally. I will return again and again.

Garetson's poems ring of loss and love, of mystery and discovery, of grief and healing. Garetson, in My Greek Footprint, tells of a life examined by words and images that sing and pierce with beauty. Here a journey well worth taking, to Greece and beyond.

These poems are based on the author's experience but she writes about subjects in a way that is easy for any human reader to relate to. Highly recommend.
